Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Cooking the Gumbo

Add the sliced Andouille sausage and cubed chicken breast to the pot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned.

Pour in the chicken broth and crushed tomatoes. Stir to combine all the ingredients.

Add the bay leaves, paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After 30 minutes, add the shrimp and cook for an additional 5 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
