Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Base Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine 16 cups of water with 1 cup of sugar, 0.5 cups of citric acid, and 0.1 cups of sodium citrate. Stir until the sugar and citric acid are fully dissolved.

  2. 2

    Add Flavoring

Stir in the 2 tablespoons of natural flavor (Mountain Berry) and add 1 drop of food coloring to achieve the desired color. Mix thoroughly.

Electrolyte Addition

  1. 3

    Incorporate Electrolyte Blend

Gradually add 0.1 tablespoons of potassium chloride, 0.05 tablespoons of sodium chloride, 0.05 tablespoons of calcium lactate, and 0.05 tablespoons of magnesium sulfate to the mixture. Stir well to ensure all the electrolytes are fully dissolved and evenly distributed.

  2. 4

    Taste Test

Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or flavor by adding more sugar or flavoring if desired. Mix again.

Bottling

  1. 5

    Bottle the Drink

Pour the prepared Powerade into clean 20 oz bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal the bottles tightly.

  2. 6

    Chill and Serve

Place the bottles in the refrigerator to chill before serving. Enjoy your homemade Mountain Berry Blast Powerade!
