Crab Filling

For Baking

Method

Crab Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix gently to avoid breaking up the crab meat too much.

Topping Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Topping

In a small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, melted butter, and paprika until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 3

    Assemble the Dish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using crab shells, rinse and dry them thoroughly. If using ramekins, lightly grease them with cooking spray or butter. Spoon the crab filling into the shells or ramekins, filling them generously.

  2. 4

    Add the Topping

Evenly distribute the crumb topping over the filled crab shells or ramekins.

  3. 5

    Bake the Crab

Place the stuffed crab shells or ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is heated through.

  4. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Mr. E Deviled Crab warm, garnished with additional lemon wedges if desired.
