Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Season the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the seasoned beef into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, pressing them slightly in the center to prevent puffing while cooking.

Cook the Bacon and Onions

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Onions

In the same skillet with some bacon grease, add the sliced medium onion. Sauté until golden and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 5

    Grill the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place equal amounts of aged white and orange cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cover to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 7

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in the oven until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cheeseburger patties on top, followed by sautéed onions, crispy bacon, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
