Gradually whisk in the beef stock, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Add the soy sauce and black pepper to the gravy. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the gravy has thickened.

Place a generous portion of hot fries on a serving plate.
