Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Pie Crust

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  2. 2

    Add Ice Water

Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to overwork the dough.

  3. 3

    Chill the Dough

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to fit a 9-inch pie pan. Transfer the rolled dough to the pie pan and trim the edges to fit.

  5. 5

    Pre-bake the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork and bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.

Filling Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk, mixing until well combined.

  2. 7

    Add Flavorings

Stir in the vanilla extract and lemon juice. Mix until fully incorporated.

  3. 8

    Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

  4. 9

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

  5. 10

    Fill the Pie Crust

Pour the filling into the cooled pie crust and spread it evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Topping Preparation

  1. 11

    Add Whipped Cream Topping

Once the pie is set, spread the whipped cream over the top of the pie.

  2. 12

    Garnish with Chocolate

Sprinkle chocolate shavings over the whipped cream for garnish.
