Method

Main Plate

  1. 1

    Cook the Protein

In a skillet over medium heat, cook 2 slices of bacon or 2 sausage links until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet, reduce to medium-low heat. Add 1 tbs of butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, over-easy, or scrambled). Season with 0.25 tsp salt and a pinch of black pepper.

Home Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and dice russet potatoes into ½-inch cubes. Place in a pot of cold salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 5–7 minutes until just tender. Drain and let dry for 2–3 minutes.

  2. 4

    Pan-Fry the Potatoes

Heat 1.5 tbs olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add boiled potato cubes and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy. Season with 0.5 tsp salt, 0.25 tsp black pepper, 0.5 tsp paprika, 0.25 tsp garlic powder, and 0.25 tsp onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.

Toast

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

Toast 2 slices of multi-grain bread in a toaster or toaster oven until golden and crisp.

  2. 6

    Butter the Toast

Spread 1 tbs of butter over the warm toast slices before serving.
