Preparation

Preparation

1. Prepare the Ingredients

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Grate the Grana Padano and Asiago cheese. Chop the chives and set them aside for garnishing.

2. Cook the Tagliatelle

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the tagliatelle noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

3. Pan Roasting the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.

4. Sautéing the Onions and Garlic

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Making the Cream Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Grana Padano and Asiago cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

6. Combine Everything

Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet with the cream sauce and toss to coat. Slice the chicken and arrange it on top of the pasta.

Serving

7. Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle chopped chives over the top for garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy your Chicken Alfredo!
