Prepare the beef mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

Form the patties
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into round, flat patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Assemble the burgers
Spread 1 tsp mayonnaise and 1 tsp ketchup on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, tomato slice, cheeseburger patty, 2 slices of bacon, red onion rings, and pickle slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

Dry and fry the potatoes
Drain and thoroughly dry the potatoes with a kitchen towel. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 325°F (165°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for 3–4 minutes until pale and tender but not golden. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Second fry for crispiness
Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C). Fry the potatoes again in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season with salt while hot.
