Method
Brownies
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Vanilla
Stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar, 0.5 cup of brown sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract into the melted butter until well combined.
- 4
Add Eggs
Add 2 large eggs to the mixture, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 0.5 tsp of salt.
- 6
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in 1 cup of white chocolate chips.
- 7
Bake
Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Chocolate Sauce
- 9
Heat Heavy Cream
In a small saucepan, heat 0.5 cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
- 10
Melt Chocolate
Remove from heat and stir in 0.5 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Add 0.5 tsp of vanilla extract and stir well.
- 11
Cool Slightly
Let the chocolate sauce cool slightly before drizzling it over the brownies.
Whipped Cream
- 12
Make Whipped Cream
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and 2 tbs of powdered sugar.
- 13
Whip Cream
Using an electric mixer, whip the cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
