Method

Preparing Home Fries

  1. 1

    Prep the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into 1-inch cubes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed potatoes, sprinkle with salt and paprika, and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and crispy.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Season the Steak

Season the 8 oz prime sirloin steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking the Eggs and Tomato

  1. 6

    Cook the Tomato

Slice the tomato in half and place it cut-side down in the skillet used for the steak for about 3-4 minutes until slightly charred.

  2. 7

    Cook the Eggs

In a small bowl, crack the three eggs. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed and fry the eggs to your preference (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.) for about 3-4 minutes.

Toast the Bread

  1. 8

    Toast the Multi-grain Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the multi-grain bread slices in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, arrange the sliced steak, eggs, roasted tomato, and crispy home fries. Serve with the toasted multi-grain bread on the side.
