Ingredients

Main Ingredients

Preparation

Preparation

1. Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.

2. Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each fillet is well coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

3. Prepare the Basil

While the salmon is marinating, rinse the fresh basil leaves under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel, then chop them coarsely.

Cooking

4. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

5. Bake the Salmon

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the marinated salmon fillets on the baking sheet skin-side down. Sprinkle the chopped basil over the fillets.

6. Cooking Time

Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.

Serving

7. Plate the Dish

Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
