Method
Preparation
- 1
Muddle the Lime and Lime Leaves
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the whole fresh lime and lime leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the lime and lime leaves together. This will release the lime juice and the aromatic oils from the leaves.
- 2
Add the Gin
Pour 2 ounces of Tanqueray Gin over the muddled lime and lime leaves in the glass.
- 3
Mix with Tonic Water
Add 4 ounces of tonic water to the mixture. Stir gently to combine the ingredients, ensuring that the muddled lime and lime leaves are well integrated with the gin and tonic.
- 4
Add Frozen Citrus
Incorporate 1 cup of frozen citrus pieces into the drink. These will keep the beverage chilled without diluting it too quickly.
- 5
Serve
Pour the mixture into a glass filled with ice cubes, if desired, and garnish with additional lime slices or lime leaves for presentation.
