Dry Rub Ingredients

Rib Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Dry Rub

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and dried oregano. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 2

    Prepare Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better flavor absorption. Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.

  2. 3

    Apply Olive Oil

Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the ribs. Rub the oil into the meat to ensure even coverage.

  3. 4

    Season with Dry Rub

Generously apply the dry rub mixture to both sides of the ribs, pressing it into the meat. Ensure that all surfaces are coated.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 6

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.

  3. 7

    Finish and Crisp

Remove the top foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes to crisp the outer layer.

  4. 8

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
