Churro Dough Preparation

    Make Churro Dough

    In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

    Add Flour

    Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the flour until well combined and a dough forms.

    Incorporate Egg

    Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add the egg and cinnamon. Mix until smooth and fully incorporated.

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

    Prepare Cinnamon Sugar

    In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Filling

    Make Cream Cheese Filling

    In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.

Frying Churros

    Heat Oil

    In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

    Pipe Churros

    Transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 4-inch strips of dough into the hot oil.

    Fry Churros

    Fry the churros for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

    Coat in Cinnamon Sugar

    While still warm, roll the churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Assemble Sandwiches

    Prepare the Sandwich

    Take two churros and pipe a generous amount of the cream cheese filling in between them to create a sandwich.
