Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Pat dry with a clean towel or spin in a salad spinner. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Cherry Tomatoes
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Add them to the bowl with the romaine lettuce.
- 3
Dress the Salad
Pour the house-made Caesar dressing over the lettuce and tomatoes. Toss gently until the salad is evenly coated with dressing.
- 4
Grate the Grana Padano
Using a grater, finely grate the Grana Padano cheese. Sprinkle it over the salad and add black pepper to taste.
Crouton Preparation
- 5
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 6
Prepare the Ciabatta
Cut the ciabatta bread into small cubes (about 1-inch pieces) and place them in a mixing bowl.
- 7
- 8
Bake the Croutons
Spread the seasoned bread cubes out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through.
- 9
Combine with Salad
Once the croutons are baked and cooled slightly, add them to the salad mixture and toss gently before serving.
