Preparing the Chicken Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal parts and form each part into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Patties
Place the chicken patties in the hot skillet and cook for approximately 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the outside is nicely browned.
Assembling the Burger

Toast the Buns (optional)
If desired, toast the burger buns lightly on the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden.

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked chicken patty, a slice of tomato, and a few slices of red onion.
