Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spice Rub

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar to create a spice rub.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

Rub the spice mixture all over the baby back ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow them to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 3

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 4

    Wrap the Ribs

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil, ensuring they are well sealed.

  3. 5

    Bake the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone easily.

  4. 6

    Glaze with Barbecue Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap them. Brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce over the ribs.

  5. 7

    Broil for Finish

Place the ribs under the broiler for about 5-10 minutes or until the sauce caramelizes and becomes sticky.

Preparing the Sides and Vegetables

  1. 8

    Cook Corn on the Cob

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the corn on the cob and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

  2. 9

    Bake Potatoes

While the ribs are cooking, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prick the baked potatoes with a fork, rub with olive oil and salt, then place directly on the oven rack for 45-60 minutes or until tender.

  3. 10

    Sauté Seasonal Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the seasonal vegetables and sauté for 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
