Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tomato Mixture

Dice the Roma tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl. Add the chopped fresh basil leaves, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

Gently toss the tomato mixture until all ingredients are well combined. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

While the tomato mixture rests, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the slices of bruschetta on a baking sheet and drizzle with a little olive oil. Bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Top the Bruschetta

Remove the toasted bread from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of bruschetta.

  2. 5

    Add Optional Topping

If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the bruschetta for added flavor.

  3. 6

    Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately as a delightful appetizer.
