Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your martini glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Measure the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, measure 2 ounces of gin and 0.5 ounces of dry vermouth. Adjust the amount of vermouth based on your preference for a drier or wetter martini.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes to ensure the cocktail is well chilled.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds. This will chill the ingredients while also diluting them slightly.
