Fruit Salad

Method

Chocolate Mousse

  1. 1

    Melt the Chocolate

Chop the dark chocolate and melt it in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Whip the Cream

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Eggs

Separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a bowl, whisk the yolks with the sugar until pale and thick.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Add the melted chocolate and vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture and mix well. Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully incorporated.

  5. 5

    Beat the Egg Whites

In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold them gently into the chocolate mixture.

  6. 6

    Chill

Spoon the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Lemon Tart

  1. 7

    Make the Tart Crust

In a bowl, mix the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press the mixture into a tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.

  2. 8

    Pre-Bake the Crust

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden, then let it cool.

  3. 9

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and sugar until smooth.

  4. 10

    Bake the Tart

Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set. Let it cool completely before serving.

Fruit Salad

  1. 11

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash the mixed berries and slice the banana and apple into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 12

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the mixed berries, banana, and apple.

  3. 13

    Add Honey and Mint

Drizzle honey over the fruit salad and toss gently. Add the mint leaves and give it a final toss.

  4. 14

    Serve

Serve the fruit salad chilled or at room temperature.
