Dessert and Drinks
- 1
Prepare the Base
In a mixing bowl, combine oat milk, coconut cream, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well combined.
- 2
Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until chilled. This helps the flavors meld together.
- 3
Churn the Ice Cream
Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- 4
Add Chocolate Chips
In the last few minutes of churning, add the chocolate chips to the mixture, allowing them to mix evenly into the ice cream.
- 5
Freeze the Ice Cream
Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container. Smooth the top with a spatula and seal it. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- 6
Serve
Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and enjoy your homemade chocolate shoppe oat vanilla ice cream!
