Preparation Steps

Prepare Taro Cream
Peel and steam the taro root until soft. Allow it to cool, then mash it into a fine puree.

Make the Custard
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and half of the granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.

Add Taro Puree
Fold the taro puree into the custard mixture until smooth.

Cool and Chill
Remove the ramekins from the water bath and let them cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Prepare Marshmallow Topping
In a small bowl, microwave the marshmallows until soft and fluffy, about 20-30 seconds. Stir until smooth.

Assemble the Dessert
Spread the melted marshmallow on top of each chilled taro custard. Use a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallow until golden brown.

Serve with Berries
Top with mixed berries and drizzle with berry sauce before serving.
