Preparation

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In another bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar using a fork or whisk until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add-ins

Choose Your Add-ins
For a Chocolate Chunk Cookie, fold in the chocolate chunks. For an Oatmeal Cranberry Cookie, fold in the rolled oats and dried cranberries.
Baking

Form Cookie
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop the cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, forming one large cookie.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
