Method
Prepare Dough
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Mix well.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Once the yeast mixture is frothy, add it to the flour mixture along with olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- 4
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5
Let it Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Assemble and Bake Pizza
- 6
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure it’s hot enough for pizza baking.
- 7
Shape the Dough
Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into your desired pizza shape and thickness.
- 8
Add Sauce
Spread the red pizza sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 9
Add Cheese
Tear or slice the whole milk mozzarella and distribute it evenly over the sauce.
- 10
Add Pepperoni
Evenly distribute the Creminelli pepperoni slices across the top of the cheese.
- 11
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the assembled pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- 12
Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
