Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Once the yeast is activated, add it to the flour mixture along with the olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix the ingredients until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to prepare for baking the pizza.

  2. 6

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough in half and roll one half into a circle (about 12 inches in diameter) for the pizza base.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce

Spread the red pizza sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. 8

    Add Cheese and Pepperoni

Sprinkle the organic mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then layer the Creminelli pepperoni slices on top.

  5. 9

    Bake the Pizza

Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  6. 10

    Slice and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into wedges and serve.
