Prepare the Base

In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk the mixture until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until well chilled.

Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Freeze

Transfer the churned ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Sorbet

Make the Syrup

In a saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved, then remove from heat and let cool.

Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the fruit puree, cooled syrup, and lemon juice. Stir until well blended.

Chill the Mixture

Refrigerate the sorbet mixture for at least 1 hour, or until completely chilled.

Churn the Sorbet

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a smooth texture.
