1

Prepare Almond Torta Batter

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

2

Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.

3

Incorporate Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

4

Add Almonds

Fold in the sliced almonds gently into the batter.

5

Bake the Torta

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6

Prepare Malt Honey Gelato

In a saucepan, combine the malt honey and heavy cream. Heat until warm, then let cool and churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

7

Make Cinnamon Caramel Sauce

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, water, corn syrup, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes.

8

Serve

Slice the almond torta and serve warm with a scoop of malt honey gelato on the side, drizzled with cinnamon caramel sauce.
