Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium rare, or longer for well done.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Buns and Toppings

While the patties are cooking, slice the onion into thin rings. Rinse the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Optionally, toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly browned.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread 2 tablespoons of special sauce on the bottom half of each toasted burger bun. Place a cooked patty on each bun, top with lettuce and onion rings, and cover with the top bun.

  5. 5

    Cook the Fries

Prepare fries according to package instructions or using your preferred method (frying, baking, or air frying). Season with salt to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the assembled burgers with a side of fries. Enjoy your Millwright's Burger!
