Farm Greens

Method

Farm Greens

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chimichurri Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine the fresh parsley, red wine vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the flat iron steak with the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, then season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the seasoned flat iron steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Hash Browns

In a nonstick skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the hash browns and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  5. 5

    Slice the Steak

After resting, slice the flat iron steak thinly against the grain.

  6. 6

    Plating

On a plate, place a generous portion of the crispy hash browns, top with sliced steak, and drizzle with chimichurri sauce. Serve immediately.
