Prepare the Caramel Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook until the sugar dissolves and turns amber in color. Carefully stir in the heavy cream and remaining butter. Cook until smooth. Add vanilla extract and remove from heat.
