Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix together kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the olive oil on both sides of the steak, then generously season with the salt, pepper, and garlic mixture on both sides. Let the steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450-500°F (232-260°C). Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the ribeye steak on the hot grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it to achieve a nice sear. Flip the steak and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 5

    Slice and Serve

After resting, slice the ribeye against the grain and serve it on a plate. Enjoy your perfectly grilled ribeye steak!
