Preparation of the Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the medium tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves finely and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Cheese
Cut the mozzarella cheese into small cubes (or use mozzarella pearls) and add to the tomato and basil mixture.

Season the Mixture
Mince the garlic clove and add it to the bowl along with balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything gently.
Toasting the Bread

Prepare the Baguette
Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the slices on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.

Top the Toasts
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato, basil, and mozzarella mixture generously onto each slice.
