Biscuits
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Biscuit Dough
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk just until combined.
- 2
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Fold the dough over itself two or three times to create layers, then cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter.
- 3
Bake the Biscuits
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
