Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the brisket ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a round patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until a nice crust forms. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, adding the cheddar cheese on top for the last minute to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns and Toppings

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and prepare the toppings: wash the lettuce, slice the sweet onion, and slice the tomato.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

Once the patties are cooked to your desired doneness, place each patty on the bottom half of a brioche bun. Top with crisp lettuce, sweet onions, tomato slices, and melted cheddar cheese. Add mayonnaise on the top half of the bun if desired.

  3. 7

    Serve

Close the burgers with the top half of the brioche bun, serve immediately, and enjoy!
