Old Grand Dad Bonded Recipe

Preparation

   Prepare the Glass

   Select a lowball glass and add one sugar cube to the bottom.

   Add Bitters and Water

   Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the sugar cube. Pour 1 tsp of water over the sugar cube to help dissolve it.

   Muddle the Mixture

   Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently muddle the sugar cube, bitters, and water together until the sugar is mostly dissolved.

   Add Bourbon

   Pour 2 oz of Old Grand Dad Bourbon into the glass over the muddled mixture.

   Stir and Add Ice

   Stir the concoction gently to combine the ingredients. If desired, add ice to the glass.

   Garnish

   Express the oils of an orange peel over the drink and drop it in as a garnish. Add a maraschino cherry on top for an extra touch.
