Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Lemons

Roll the lemons on a countertop to loosen the juices, then cut them in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. You should aim for about 4 oz of fresh lemon juice.

  2. 2

    Making the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water (1 cup each). Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Wild Turkey 101 bourbon, 4 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz of simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

  2. 4

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with 2 oz of club soda to add fizz.

Garnishing

  1. 5

    Add Final Touches

Garnish the lemonade with 2 lemon slices and 5 fresh mint leaves for a refreshing summer finish.
