Juicing the Lemons
Roll the lemons on a countertop to loosen the juices, then cut them in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. You should aim for about 4 oz of fresh lemon juice.

Making the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water (1 cup each). Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Wild Turkey 101 bourbon, 4 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz of simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with 2 oz of club soda to add fizz.
