Meatloaf Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Meatloaf Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Mix until well combined.

Shape the Meatloaf
Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
Bourbon Glaze Preparation

Prepare the Glaze
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, bourbon, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is well combined and the sugar has dissolved.

Simmer the Glaze
Bring the glaze to a simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Cooking the Meatloaf

Bake the Meatloaf
Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes.

Add the Glaze
After 45 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven and brush half of the bourbon glaze over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Rest and Slice
Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Serve the Dish
Serve slices of the bourbon glazed meatloaf alongside a generous scoop of mashed potatoes. Drizzle additional bourbon glaze over the top if desired.
