Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat your slow cooker

Set your slow cooker to low heat and allow it to preheat while you prepare the ribs.

  2. 2

    Season the ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

Place ribs in the slow cooker

Once seasoned, place the ribs in the slow cooker, standing them upright if necessary to fit.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine BBQ sauce ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 5

    Add sauce to ribs

Pour the prepared BBQ sauce over the ribs in the slow cooker, ensuring they are well coated.

Cooking the Ribs

  1. 6

    Cover and cook

Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and easily pull away from the bone.

  2. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a serving platter. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce if desired and serve hot.
