Carne Asada Burrito Ingredients

Method

Carne Asada Burrito Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filet

Season the filet mignon with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filet

Add the seasoned filet mignon to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Meat

Once cooked, remove the filet from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing it thinly against the grain.

  4. 4

    Cook the Rice

In a separate pot, cook the Mexican rice according to package instructions. Set aside once cooked.

  5. 5

    Heat the Black Beans

In a small saucepan, heat the black beans over medium heat until warm. Stir occasionally.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burrito

Take a flour tortilla and layer it with a scoop of Mexican rice, sliced filet mignon, black beans, Oaxaca cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsa brava.

  7. 7

    Wrap the Burrito

Fold the sides of the tortilla inwards and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top to secure the filling.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the burrito warm, optionally drizzling more salsa brava on top and adding extra cheese if desired.
