Salad Ingredients

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Romaine Lettuce

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or use a salad spinner. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cherry Tomatoes

Rinse the cherry tomatoes under cold water. Cut each tomato in half and add them to the bowl with the romaine lettuce.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Avocado

Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Cut the avocado into cubes and gently fold them into the salad bowl.

  4. 4

    Add Cotija Cheese

Crumble the cotija cheese and sprinkle it over the salad mixture in the bowl.

  5. 5

    Add Cotija-Pesto Breadcrumbs

Sprinkle the cotija-pesto breadcrumbs over the salad for added texture and flavor.

  6. 6

    Add Caesar Dressing

Pour the caesar dressing over the salad ingredients. Use tongs or salad servers to toss the salad gently until all ingredients are well-coated with the dressing.

  7. 7

    Optional: Add Protein

If desired, grill the Jidori chicken breast until fully cooked and slice it into strips to place on top of the salad. Alternatively, sauté or grill the shrimp until they turn pink and opaque, then add them to the salad.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the Caesar salad immediately in individual bowls or on plates. Enjoy your fresh and flavorful starter!
