Sauce Preparation
- 1
Make the Asiago Cream Sauce
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the shredded Asiago cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Pizza Assembly
- 2
Prepare the Pizza
Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- 3
Add Toppings
Spread the Asiago cream sauce evenly over the pizza dough. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Arrange the prosciutto slices and black mission figs evenly over the cheese.
- 4
Bake the Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- 5
Finish with Arugula
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Top with fresh wild arugula and drizzle with balsamic reduction before slicing and serving.
