Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F or 232°C).
- 2
Season the Steak
Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, and season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 3
Grill the Steak
Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust cooking time if you prefer a different doneness.
- 4
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).
- 6
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps make them crispier.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Garlic Butter Preparation
- 9
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 10
Add Garlic
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant.
- 11
Finish the Butter
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley and lemon juice. Set aside.
