Method

Preparing the Bread

  1. 1

    Slice the Baguette

Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices diagonally.

  2. 2

    Grill the Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Grill the baguette slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and crisp.

Making the Tomato Mixture

  1. 3

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Dice the Roma tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic and Basil

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes. Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them as well.

  3. 5

    Season the Mixture

Drizzle the olive oil over the tomato mixture, then season with salt and black pepper. Toss everything together gently.

Making the Balsamic Glaze

  1. 6

    Combine Vinegar and Honey

In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey.

  2. 7

    Reduce the Glaze

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Assembling the Bruschetta

  1. 8

    Top the Grilled Bread

Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of grilled bread.

  2. 9

    Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze

Drizzle the reduced balsamic glaze over the topped bruschetta.

  3. 10

    Serve Immediately

Serve the bruschetta immediately as an appetizer or snack.
