Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

Clean the mussels under cold running water, scrubbing the shells to remove any debris. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped. Cut the fish fillets into bite-sized pieces and set aside. Ensure the prawns are peeled and deveined.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Sauté Aromatics

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 3

    Add Seafood

Add the mussels, fish, and prawns to the pot. Stir gently to combine with the garlic and oil.

  3. 4

    Add Liquids

Pour in the white wine and fish stock. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, until the mussels begin to open.

  4. 5

    Season the Dish

Add the chopped parsley, dill, chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Squeeze in the lemon juice and stir well to combine.

  5. 6

    Final Cook

Cover the pot and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until all mussels have opened and the fish is cooked through. Discard any mussels that remain closed.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

Ladle the seafood stew into bowls, ensuring each serving has a good mix of mussels, fish, and prawns. Serve with slices of crusty bread for dipping.
