Brownie Ingredients

Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. 4

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  5. 5

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.

  6. 6

Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Brownie Directions

  1. 7

Prep the Oven and Baking Dish

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 8

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 9

    Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Stir until well mixed, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 10

    Combine the Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 11

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  6. 12

    Pour and Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 13

    Cool and Cut

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
