Chicken Fingers

French Fries

Method

Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour (seasoned with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika), beaten eggs, and bread crumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken strip in flour, then dip it into the eggs, and finally coat it with bread crumbs. Place the breaded chicken strips on a tray.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips into the hot oil in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the chicken fingers from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

French Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.

  2. 8

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 9

    Dry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

  4. 10

    Heat the Oil for Frying

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 11

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-6 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.

  6. 12

    Season and Serve

Remove the fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot with chicken fingers.
