Cocktail

Method

Garnish & Rim

1

Prepare glass

Select a chilled coupe or martini glass. Run a small amount of caramel sauce around the rim (use a spoon to spread a thin ring). Sprinkle the coarse sea salt evenly onto a small plate and gently press the caramel-rimmed glass into the salt so the salt adheres to the caramel. Set glass aside in the freezer for 2–3 minutes while you mix the drink.

2

Drizzle about 1/2 tsp caramel sauce inside the bottom of the chilled glass if you want extra caramel flavor when sipping.

Cocktail

3

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.

4

Add vodka (2 oz), salted caramel liqueur (1 oz), heavy cream (1/2 oz), simple syrup (1/4 oz), lemon juice (1/4 tsp) and a pinch of sea salt into the shaker. The lemon juice brightens and balances the sweetness; the pinch of salt enhances the salted caramel profile.

5

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and the cream is well incorporated and slightly frothy.

6

Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into the prepared chilled glass to remove ice shards and produce a smooth texture.

7

Optional: Top with a small dollop (about 1 tbsp) of whipped cream and a light drizzle of caramel sauce. Finish with a light pinch (tiny sprinkle) of sea salt over the top.

8

Serve immediately. Enjoy the balance of sweet caramel, creamy texture and a hint of salt.
