Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus under cold water. Trim the ends by snapping them off or cutting about 1 inch from the bottom of each stalk.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Salmon

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Asparagus

In the same skillet, add the asparagus. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender and bright green. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the salmon.

  3. 5

    Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional minute.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, place a salmon fillet and a serving of asparagus. Drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the salmon and asparagus. Serve immediately.
