Pork Tenderloin Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork Tenderloin
Preheat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Season the Pork
Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on all sides.
- 3
- 4
Deep Fry the Pork
Carefully place the breaded pork tenderloin into the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
- 5
Rest the Pork
Remove the pork from the oil and let it rest on a paper towel-lined plate for 5 minutes before slicing.
Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Toppings
While the pork is resting, wash and prepare the lettuce. Slice the tomato and red onion thinly.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the pub buns in half. Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a layer of lettuce, followed by a slice of tomato, and a few rings of red onion.
- 8
Finish the Sandwich
Slice the rested pork tenderloin into medallions and place a few pieces on top of the vegetables. If desired, add a dollop of creamy horseradish before placing the top half of the bun on.
- 9
Serve
Serve the sandwiches warm with your favorite sides.
